What do I need to hire a car?
A current full driver licence and a card for the bond. We check your licence at pickup, along with the licence of anyone else who will drive.
Are the classic cars manual?
Yes. The Corolla DX and the Escort Mk2 are both manual, so you’ll need to be comfortable with a clutch. The Hiace van is automatic.
How old do I have to be?
You need to be 21 for the Corolla, and 25 for the Escort and the Hiace.
What insurance is included?
Standard cover is included, and you pay up to the bond amount if the vehicle is damaged. You can reduce that to $250 when you book. Your options are shown before you sign.
How does the bond work?
The bond is held on your card at pickup and released once the vehicle has come back and been checked.
Do you sign contracts online?
Yes. You read and sign the rental agreement during booking, then get a signed PDF straight away. If you’d like anything in it explained first, just call us.
Can I cancel?
Cancel at least 48 hours before pickup for a full refund. After that, the first day’s hire is non-refundable.
How do shuttle and transfer prices work?
They depend on the route, the time and how many people are travelling, so we quote each trip. Send us the details and we’ll come back with a price.
